The seed to embrace organic farming at Séailles started to take root when lawyer Jean Labarenne, who had just purchased the property in the mid-1990s, recruited Julien Franclet as vigneron. Growing on one clay-limestone parcel in the middle of a Mouchan forest, Domaine Séailles is celebrated for leading organic farming in Southwest France.

The Wines

Côtes de Gascogne Blanc Presto

This blend is half Sauvignon Blanc, half Sauvignon Gris, two grapes produced in lower yields in Séailles’ Southwest vineyards, resulting in undeniable quality. One hour skin contact before pressing in stainless steel tanks, followed by 6 months aging on the fine lees.

Vin de France Rouge Cubik

100% Merlot, a rarity in a sea of low-yield white vineyards in the region. While the first fruit comes from Séailles’ own domaine, they now purchase grapes from surrounding vineyards to keep up the demand for this wine. Soft and rich with fruit.

Armagnac 20 ans

Produced from one of the many armagnac casks Jean Labarenne inherited after buying the domaine, this 20 year spirit predates Séailles’ organic certification. Made with estate-grown Ugni Blanc

Armagnac Millésimé

Like its 20-year sibling, this armagnac is made with estate-grown Ugni Blanc. Julien rigorously tastes from every barrel to make sure it’s hitting all the right notes.
