Azienda Agricola Maradei is a family-run business that reopened in the 1980s after a break of several years. The family continues the passion for oil and wine with their four daughters. They have always been committed to biological cultivation. In 2014 the family took it upon themselves to be a part of the new beginnings in agriculture in the name of quality and switched to biodynamic farming.
The Wines

MARADEI 'AGLÒ' BIANCO CALABRIA
Dedicated to the youngest of the sisters, Olga, the name doubles as a gioco di parole: pronounced ‘ah - gloo’ like the onomatopoeic sound for gulping [ a glou-ey drink]. In the glass, ‘Aglò’ glows golden thanks to Malvasia Bianca, and throws aromatics to match:, hay, dried fruits, orange peel, tamarind, bitter

MARADEI ‘DANFORA’ BIANCO CALABRIA
The aroma opens on citrus peel, orange blossom, chestnut honey and beeswax, tea leaf, walnut husk and apricot puree. On the palate it is long in the wake of flavor, it is sumptuous in the elegant and round as the amphorae in which it is produced. Liquid volume dampened by a beautiful freshness and an incisive sapidity, in closing a pleasant tannic presence draws a picture of the highest level.

MARADEI 'MARINÙ’ ROSATO CALABRIA
Marina’s wine, named for the pet name given to her by her sisters. Un rosato di alta colline… A Rosato of the high hills. Epic! One of the only Rosato produced in Calabria, in fact. Juicy and savory at once, a mouthful of mandarin and red fruits with earthy floral undertones.
Only 400 cases produced.
