DOMAINE DE LA BREGEONNETTE

Embracing organic farming since the 1960s, the Oreiux family’s methods are celebrated and replicated across many vineyards today.

Domaine Overview

Year Founded: 1960's

Winemaker: Stéphane Orieux

Location: Vallet, Loire

Grapes: Gros-Plant, Melon de Bourgogne

FARMING: Certified organic

We’ve encountered very few (very, very few) producers that can boast over five decades of experience in organic farming. Here comes the Loire’s Domaine de la Bregeonnette. Stéphane Oreiux produces wines of precedence in Vallet where he upholds the same methods that his grandfather Joseph used when the vineyards were first founded.

Domaine de la Bregeonnette’s decades of experience in the Loire on mica-schist soils turns out consistency, clarity, and mineral-driven wines across all of their offerings, especially in the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine Sur Lie. When others in the craft need a guiding star on how organic farming is done, they turn to what the Orieux family has discovered and built in the Loire.
